Phonology is the
study of sound.
Morphology is the
study of the structure of words.
Syntax is the study
of word order.
Semantics is the
study of meaning (of words).
Prosody is the study
of aspects of speech which are not verbal (stress, pitch, volume etc.)
Pragmatics is the
study of language use, in order words the implied meaning of something.
